Inflation

Every voting age American can see that in the last 6 years the purchasing power of their dollar has nearly halved. The cost of living has skyrocketed, and I believe that was by design. Unlike what the U.S. Constitution requires, the U.S. Dollar is no longer treated as silver coin, but a piece of paper. Whenever the government wants more, it prints more, devaluing our money and stealing the wealth of millions.

This modern manipulation of our money has been an ongoing problem since the creation of the Federal Reserves in 1913, worsened by the income tax and abandonment of the gold standard. This kind of currency, with this kind of banking, with this kind of taxation, gives the Federal Government a blank check at the expense of anyone using United States Dollars. It must be stopped. Both Republican and Democrat majorities have failed to address it, and that is why the Dollar always depreciates regardless who’s in charge.

Preventing inflation is simple, but it begins with disrupting this machine. Anything to get Congress passing balanced budgets, end the Fed, or return to sound money, is a step in the right direction. I pledge to never vote for an unbalanced budget as a member of Congress. I believe we could easily balance the federal budget by returning the Federal Government to its intended size; and with more money in the pockets of everyday Americans, the more people will be able to live independently, donate to charity, and build up their communities.
